According to a November poll 51% of respondents said Illinois is on the wrong track. Unfortunately, half of those polled still approved of Governor Pritzker’s job performance. So what does that mean? It means a lot of Illinoisans are happy with the status quo. But it most likely also means many are unaware of a few things and whose responsible.
Worthy of Freedom
We should ask ourselves have we ordinary Americans honored the sacrifices of our fellow Americans that have defended us in battle? The bigger question to ask is are we doing our part to live up to their commitment to protect our liberty by standing up for our freedom in ordinary ways every day? In that regard, we must do better.
Across America, people are praying for the victims of the deadly tornadoes that touched down across six states. There may be 100 dead and billions of dollars of damage. Literally lives have been uprooted - a tragedy made worse during the Christmas season. Unsurprisingly, climate change alarmists were quick to blame climate change for the severity of the tornado. Jeanne shares her take-away and the real Reveille in this tragedy.
Trust in the Military
According to the survey results, in the ten months of the Biden Administration, respondents who said they trusted the military a great deal fell 11 points – from 56% to 45% from February 2021 to November 2021 - The sharpest single-year decline since the survey began. Political leadership was the top reason listed for the decline in confidence. That’s not good for our national security.

Lighting Up The Media
Have the Debate
Perhaps at no time in history has the contrast between the success of smart-government, conservative ideas and big-and-bigger-government Democrat ideas been more clear. This is a tremendous opportunity for Republicans living in Democrat states to make their case in the media, on social media, in stump speeches, at doors and in their own circles of influence. In this episode, Kathleen details the contrast that Republicans should capitalize on heading into 2022.
Ideas So Good You Have to Lie About Them
We've discussed the ways the media manipulates you: Deception, Double Standards and Selective Amplification. Last week, MSNBC broadcast a commentary that was a clear case of Media Deception. The network invited analyst Dr. Jason Johnson on to the network to make the divisive - and false - claim that Republicans are pushing legislation across the country to "ban teaching [the] history of slavery," because lawmakers, parents and even educators across the country want to keep Critical Race Theory and the 1619 Project and Critical Race Theory out of classrooms. Kathleen digs into what the bills to ban Critical Race Theory actually look like.
Black, White and Re(a)d All Over
Lori Lightfoot shocked the nation when she announced she would be granting reporters interviews based on the color of their skin. But so far, the majority of Chicago reporters have declined to call Lightfoot’s decision what it is: institutionalizing racism and discrimination. The fact that the Chicago media doesn't want to stand up to the mayor just shows how in the tank for Dems they are and how badly in need of a shake up the press corp is. Here are the reporters and writers that we would suggest to challenge the mayor and Chicago's abysmal status quo.
Beating the Campus Beat
Evita Duffy, a Junior at the University of Chicago founded a conservative paper after being maligned on campus for her political views. If newspapers are a “reflection of the regime,” then likewise, student newspapers are a reflection of the administration. And conservative students, unfortunately, can’t trust that their administrators will allow them to publish their ideas, or that they will defend the publication of those ideas.
The Blame Game
Left-wing publication The New Republic recently blamed the declining popularity of professional sports on conservatives. That might score points on Twitter, but it does nothing to rally sports fans, or fix the real problem - which is that from the media to professional sports - major corporate institutions are making choices that divide Americans, when it’s in their power to give people a place to find common ground. Far from a winning strategy.
