The newsletter is very short this weekend as my whole family is in town for the baptism of our two granddaughters, Joan and Grace.
I want to briefly comment on the Illinois budget that passed at 2:30 am on Saturday morning. That should tell you all you need to know. The Democrats once again passed a budget in the middle of the night on a holiday weekend. They don’t want anyone to pay attention to the details and they add in a bunch of drama to make it seem like they’re hard at work.
The truth is that the entire process is done behind closed doors by a handful of people on the Democrat side and even the rank-and-file Democrat members are as clueless about the details as the minority party.
