Things to Think About Following Nashville School Shooting
The country was shocked to hear of yet another school shooting—a shooting made even more shocking because the shooter was a 28-year-old woman.
On Monday morning, March 27, 2023, Audrey Elizabeth Hale entered a Christian private school in Nashville, Tennessee where she murdered three children and three adults before the police killed her. It became known fairly soon after her murderous spree had ended that Hale had recently begun masquerading as a man. Shortly thereafter, it became known that she was autistic.
As of this writing, much information is yet unknown about Hale’s motives for her crime. She left a “manifesto,” which may help to understand better what she was thinking, but a “manifesto” written by a mentally and morally disturbed young woman will likely conceal as much as it reveals. Even the purported experts in the fields of medicine and mental health are dangerously ignorant of truth when it comes to many conditions, not the least of which is cross-sex identification.
There is, however, information society may and, it is hoped, will learn from this tragedy, and little of it pertains to the 2nd Amendment.
First, we should learn about the grossly irresponsible lack of gatekeeping for the treatment of gender dysphoria or cross-sex identification in minors. The reasons for the development of cross-sex identification are likely multifactorial and exceedingly complex, and may include autism spectrum disorder; obsessive-compulsive disorder; borderline personality disorder; factitious disorder (formerly called Munchausen by proxy); trauma; abuse; neglect; family dysfunction; social media; social contagion; depression; anxiety; and exposure to relentless cultural indoctrination, which provides a distorted lens through which children and teens are misinterpreting experiences.
In light of the complexity of reasons for the development of gender dysphoria and/or cross-sex identification, it is shocking how easily doctors are prescribing risky puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, and performing mutilating surgeries, none of which heal and all of which merely help create an elaborate skin costume to enable girls and boys, women and men to pass as the sex they are not and never can be.
Second, we should learn about potential hormone-doping risks—risks that should frighten patients, their parents, and a society committed to compassion and safety. For example, one of the risks for women of testosterone-doping is increased aggression. We don’t know yet whether Hale, who used the pronouns “he/him,” was testosterone-doping, but we do know her aggression destroyed the lives and happiness of countless Americans.
Third, from this incident, we should learn a bit more about the tangled weave of non-sense and hypocrisy that journalists have woven into one butt-ugly tapestry from leftist “gender” dogma.
Even in early articles that acknowledged that Hale identified as male, journalists defied their own practices by referring to her by female pronouns. As the public knows, mainstream press outlets abandoned objective reporting for ideologically biased reporting a few years ago, referring to, for example, Dylan Mulvaney by female pronouns and “Elliot” Page by male pronouns.
By Tuesday, the day after the shooting, journalists were largely avoiding pronouns altogether or on occasion using the silly third-person plural “they,” even though Audrey—now “Aiden”—used the pronouns “he/him.”
Using “they” when referring to a single shooter confuses readers, but clarity and reality mean far less to reporters than does obsequious acquiescence to the “trans” cult and its yellow-bellied collaborators.
The question remains, why not use Hale’s preferred pronouns? (Fyi, the “trans” cult detests the term “preferred pronouns,” so just wait for intensifying demands to drop “preferred.”)
Many on the sunny, rational side of the street speculate that the peculiar reluctance on the part of toadies for the “trans” cult who self-identify as reporters to use Hale’s preferred pronouns is that they—toadies—don’t want to associate sainted trans-ies with anything negative, including especially child murder. Wouldn’t be prudent to do that. Trans-ies can get very hostile.
To get a better sense of the hostility endemic to the “trans” cult, look no further than the #TransDayOfVengeance organized by the Trans Radical Activist Network (TRAN) to take place on April 1, 2023 in front of the Supreme Court. The same group organized a dance party on March 7, 2023 to raise funds for firearm training for “trans”-Virginians.
As our profiteering medical and mental health communities, public schools, and addled president/crime boss Joe Biden heartily endorse metaphysical “trans”-alchemy, individuals, families, and society suffer.
And so, to slightly paraphrase William Butler Yeats, as “things fall apart, as the centre ceases to hold, as the best among us lack all conviction and the worst are full of passionate intensity, the blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere the ceremony of innocence is drowned”—or murdered.
