WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
Because on 12/8/2023 Gov. Pritzker had the Comptroller issue a check for $50 million to Gotion, Inc. And then, on 1/2/2024 Gov. Pritzker had the Comptroller of the State of Illinois issue another check to Gotion, Inc. for $75 million. That’s $125 million dollars of our tax money to a company whose President is a Communist Chinese and yet, it was issued UPFRONT with NO WORK DONE or even started.

I don’t like to scream in all caps in my writing – but I am screaming in ALL CAPS.
The entire EV market is imploding right now. Rivian has halted construction of its $5 billion plant in Georgia and it laid off 10% of its salaried workforce. Meanwhile, WSJ speculates on whether or not they can make it to the finish line.
In the electric-vehicle race, it’s increasingly clear that not every competitor will make it to the finish line.
“Companies like Rivian Automotive, and Fisker FSR are burning through their cash reserves as they spend heavily on expanding factory production and sales—all while losing money on every vehicle they sell.”
And as the market continues to implode, Pritzker continues to gamble with our money. This is insane.
Adding to the insanity is a series of hearings planned by the Illinois Commerce Commission to understand The Future of Gas in Illinois. Okay – as long as the discussion is about expanding its use in Illinois and not shutting it down. But, Pritzker’s Green New Deal calls for ZERO CO2 emissions by 2050 which would require 100% elimination of coal and natural gas production and use, or 100% carbon capture – neither are possible.
