Never Forget What Dems Have Done

I’m feeling a wee bit peeved, frustrated, and discouraged but mostly baffled. I’ve read and listened to more than enough prophetic punditry to believe Republicans are headed for a midterm drubbing, and that baffles me.

The pundits cite the wild-eyed enthusiasm of leftists and the simultaneous dispiritedness of some Republicans as the reason for this portentous drubbing. I get the wild-eyed enthusiasm of leftists. When aren’t they enthusiastically wild-eyed?

The prosaic in life bores them. Remaining celibate until marriage, having babies, disciplining children, homemaking, working hard at sometimes unfulfilling jobs in order to feed little ones, attending church or synagogue—all mundane or worse to restive leftists.

Instead of walking mundane (but tried and true) paths, our university social scientists in their federally funded hothouses perform gain-of-function research, cultivating new ideological viruses with which to infect and destroy civilized societies.

Their leftist minions and carriers have enthusiastically planted and watered polymorphous perversity, idiosyncratic identities, and myriad malignant ways to divide society, rendering the centre unable to hold.

But why are Republicans unable to muster enthusiasm? Surely, they’re not so shortsighted as to allow economic woes to keep them home on Election Day. If that’s the case, they need Cher to slap them hard upside their noggins, shouting, “Snap out of it!”

The recent vicious hoax attempted against Secretary of War Pete Hegseth should alone be enough to rouse even the most somnolent Republican.

The Washington Post published a despicable lie purportedly from reliable unnamed sources who said Pete Hegseth gave a “verbal” order to kill two noncombatant survivors of a U.S. military strike against drug smugglers desperately clinging to their drug boat detritus. And there’s nothing more persuasive than an anonymous report of a verbal command—ya know, the kind with no actual proof.

From that piece of malicious quasi-journalistic gossip, leftists began demanding Hegseth be tried for war crimes.

The truth, as even leftist news sources now report, is that Hegseth gave no verbal order for a second attack “to kill everybody.”

In classified briefings, leaders of the Armed Services and Intelligence Committees for both the House and the Senate were shown video of the September 2, 2025, strikes on the drug traffickers. After seeing the video, Senator Tom Cotton, who served two combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and who was awarded a Bronze Star, two Army Commendation Medals, a Combat Infantryman Badge, a Ranger tab, an Afghanistan Campaign Medal, and an Iraq Campaign Medal, said the attacks were,

entirely lawful and needful, and they were exactly what we’d expect our military commanders to do. … I saw two survivors trying to flip a boat loaded with drugs bound for the United States back over so they could stay in the fight, and potentially, given all the context we’ve heard of other narco-terrorist boats in the area coming to their aid to recover the cargo and recover those narco-terrorists.

In contrast, Democrat U.S. Representative Jim Himes, who served on Harvard’s lightweight crew team, was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from the University of Bridgeport, and worked at Goldman Sachs before serving in Congress, said,

You have two individuals in clear distress without any means of locomotion, with a destroyed vessel, who are killed by the United States. … Any American who sees the video that I saw will see the United States military attacking shipwrecked sailors.

Well, any American except those Americans who, like Sen. Cotton, would see drug-smuggling, narco-terrorists attempting to finish their job of profiting from harming Americans.

Not that it matters to leftists, but sentences for war crimes that result in deaths include life imprisonment and death. Leftists would be happy to sentence Sec. Hegseth to death if it helps them regain power.

Newsweek just reported that the number of drug smugglers killed by the Trump administration stands at 87, which I guess is supposed to arouse indignation, maybe even horror, in Americans.

In comparison, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Biden administration’s open border policies resulted in the deaths of 568 people in fiscal year (FY) 2021, 895 in FY 2022, 704 in FY2023, and 560 in FY2024. Many of those deaths were women and children.

Democrats fret more over fewer than 100 deaths of drug-smuggling gang members than they did about thousands of deaths of men, women, and children who lost their lives due to Democrat border and sanctuary city policies.

In less than a year, Trump has managed to seal the border, thereby reducing deaths of illegal border crossers and making Americans safer. Doesn’t that astonishing success motivate Americans to keep Congress in the hands of Republicans?

How about come Election Day 2026, Republicans ruminate on the pipe bomber case. For some reason, under Joe Biden, the DOJ and FBI failed to solve the mystery that under Trump, the DOJ and FBI managed to solve in ten months without new evidence.

If the border closure, drug-smuggling crackdown, and pipe-bomber arrest aren’t sufficient incentive to propel those who voted for Trump in 2024 to the polls, what about these Democrat debacles:

  • Russia Collusion hoax
  • “pee” hoax
  • $38 million impeachment sham
  • coverup of Hunter Biden’s hellish laptop
  • Biden crime family’s influence-peddling whitewash
  • Joe Biden’s compromised cognition coverup
  • Autopen abuse and concealment
  • institutionalization of racism via DEI
  • medical and social transing of children
  • sexual integration of women’s private spaces and sports
  • COVID origin coverup
  • COVID vaccine mandates
  • two-year shuttering of schools and businesses
  • defaming and defunding law enforcement
  • interfering with ICE
  • Middle East mess
  • climate alarmism
  • higher taxes
  • increased business regulation
  • disastrous judicial appointments
  • social media and press manipulation and coercion

Are Republican voters really so forgetful, complacent, or myopic that they will risk putting the same people who committed all these offenses against Americans in control of Congress?

For those Republicans who are displeased with some aspect of current GOP governance, please, before midterms, shift your eyes from the trees and take a gander at the forest.

And those who see both the trees and forest, make sure your less-impassioned GOP-leaning friends better grasp what’s at stake. There is no problem that will be solved through Democrat control of Congress.
