Pritzker’s and Newsom’s Dreams for America

It is by now a truth universally acknowledged that men in possession of an inordinate degree of hubris must be in want of the presidency. What else could account for the two men who lead the worst-run states deciding they are just the men to run the most powerful country in the history of the world. It boggles the mind—or should—that Gavin “Pretty Boy” Newsom and the Incredible Shrinking Governor J. B. Pritzker aspire to the presidency.

Some recent news stories illuminate both their hubris and the disastrous consequences for America if either man is elected.

In Illinois, an insane law (HB 1429) has been proposed—again—that, if passed, will allow homeless encampments in all public spaces. Leftists have been trying to pass this law since Jan. 2025.

The bill “[p]rohibits the State or a unit of local government from creating or enforcing policies or ordinances imposing fines or criminal penalties against people experiencing unsheltered homelessness for occupying or engaging in life-sustaining activities on public property.”

This bill applies but is “not limited to … public sidewalks, public parks, public transportation, and public buildings.”

Life-sustaining activities include “but are not limited to, moving, resting, sitting, standing, lying down, sleeping, protecting oneself from the elements, eating, drinking, and storing such personal property as needed to shelter oneself.”

Putting it all together: If passed, every public park, forest preserve, and public building could or will become a homeless encampment. All local control over policies preventing homelessness will be revoked by Big Brother and replaced with Big Brother’s socially constructed edicts.

I wonder what this will do to property taxes.

As of this writing, Governor Pritzker has not issued a statement on the legislation, but with 31 Democrat co-sponsors, it is unlikely he would veto it.

It’s worth noting that law enforcement agencies all across the state oppose the bill. But citizen safety was long ago abandoned by Pritzker when he decided to incentivize and subsidize illegal immigration and feticide. I don’t know who exactly Pritzker thinks will pay for all his social welfare programs once his policies have either sent Illinoisans fleeing to other states or killed everyone.

The entire country knows that Newsom’s state has been ruined by homelessness. The once-beautiful city of San Francisco has seen businesses shuttered because customers were no longer willing to step over unconscious homeless people or see homeless people defecating on the sidewalks. Newsom even admitted to cleaning up the joint for the “fancy” Chinese people:

I know folks say, “Oh, they’re just cleaning up this place because all those fancy leaders are coming into town.” That’s true, because it’s true.

But that’s not Newsom’s only problem. Californians have learned that health care for illegal immigrants, originally projected to cost taxpayers $3.1 billion, was actually 9.5 billion, up 50% in one year.

The good citizens of California also learned that they have been unknowingly subsidizing the grotesque medical scam of lopping off the healthy body parts of cross-dressing illegal immigrants through Medi-Cal.

No taxpayer should be conscripted into paying for such perversity. There is no more ethical justification for forcing taxpayers to fund voluntary sex mutilation than there would be for forcing them to pay for facelifts for trans-aged 60-year-old Hollywood starlets who self-identify as 30.

Don’t let Pritzker or Newsom snooker or shame you into believing these political efforts have anything to do with compassion or inclusion. These are efforts by wealthy, powerful people to increase both their power and wealth by forcing the deplorables—that would be you, the people—to subsidize policies and laws that will never affect the wealthy and powerful Pritzkers and Newsoms. They don’t worry about how much taxes they pay. And they don’t spend their time in local public parks strolling among needle-strewn paths and weaving around fentanyl-bent addicts.

Pritzker owns a 6.4 acre equestrian estate valued at between $18-24 million in the state well-run by a Republican governor: Florida. Pritzker’s family, friends, and collaborators can unwind on his demesne untouched by unhoused untouchables.

Pritzker also owns a 230-acre horse farm just over the border in Wisconsin, so what goes on in Illinois parks and forest preserves won’t muck up the lives of Pritzker and his privileged family.

Let’s say that of the 230 acres, about 40% are filled with his luxury home, stables, horse ring, and paddock, leaving about 140 acres of open space. In an unmanaged encampment, where homeless people set up their own spaces, there typically would be 20-50 people per acre. That means the Pritzkers alone could provide encampments for 4,000-7,000 people on their 140 acres.

Alternatively, using his vast resources to create a managed encampment, like FEMA could do following a natural disaster, Pritzker could easily accommodate double those numbers.

As an aside, CNN Founder Ted Turner owns 2 million acres of property across multiple states. He could fit all the homeless people in the continental United States (low estimate from HUD about 770,000) on his property and still have 1,984,570 acres left over. And that would allow the deplorables to still have safe public parks to enjoy with their families during their few leisure hours.

Gavin Newsom owns at least two luxury properties: one is a 10,500 square foot mansion in the Sacramento area that sits on 8 acres and boasts a pool, pool house, tennis court, wine cellar, and guest house. The mansion has six bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms. The 1,200-1,550 square foot guest house that opens to the pool sounds like a perfect place to house the houseless. I recommend President Trump drop a family of illegal immigrants there. The inclusive, gender-deconstructing Mx. Newsom can give the little immigrant boys some dolls to play with.

Gavin Newsom owns another humble abode in Marin County valued at about $10 million. He bought it from J.B. Pritzker’s first cousin Daniel Pritzker (no, that’s not the cross-dressing one). It too has 6 bedrooms but only 5.5 bathrooms.

Let’s conclude with a brief overview from Gemini of the fiscal genius of these two towering figures of statecraft:

Illinois consistently ranks as one of the most punishing states for homeowners.

  • Property Taxes: Illinois has the 2nd highest effective property tax rate in the country (approx. 2.07%), trailing only New Jersey. For a home valued at $400,000, an Illinois resident pays roughly $8,600 annually, compared to just $2,200 for a similar home in Colorado.
  • Corporate Income Tax: Illinois has one of the highest corporate rates in the nation at 9.5%. This is due to the base rate plus a “Personal Property Replacement Tax” (PPRT) that adds an extra 2.5% for corporations.
  • Total Tax Burden: As of April 2026, Illinois is ranked 6th highest for total tax burden (income, property, and sales combined), with taxpayers losing about 9.9% of their personal income to state and local taxes.

California: The Income Tax Giant.

  • Individual Income Tax: California has the highest top marginal income tax rate in the country (13.3%). This makes it the “worst” state for high-income earners.
  • Tax Complexity: The Tax Foundation ranks California 48th overall for its “Tax Competitiveness Index.” This is due to “aggressive” policies like taxing non-residents for working even a single day in the state and being the only state to deny all net operating loss carryforwards.
  • Cost of Living: While not a “tax,” California is the 3rd most expensive state to live in (surpassed only by Hawaii and Massachusetts), largely driven by housing and grocery prices that are roughly 40% above the national average.

It’s not surprising that California and Illinois continue to be numbers 1 and 3 respectively for “out-migration.”

Do Americans really want either of these governors running the country?
