Facebook Post from Governor Pritzker’s Official Page, May 17, 2020
This week Americans got their first taste of accountability over the malfeasance by government officials during COVID.
Both the release of the so-called Fauci diaries on Monday by Senator Rand Paul and the Senate hearing on Thursday led by Senator Paul, where Dr. Fauci pled the 5th repeatedly, revealed through the presentations by Republicans many of the lies made by Fauci. They also exposed Fauci’s naked narcissistic arrogance. The testimony presented by a number of the Republican senators, chiefly Ron Johnson, Rick Scott, Rand Paul, and Josh Hawley, all pointed to a man who should be in jail for crimes against humanity – Fauci lied, and people died.
Sen. Paul has a “Reading Room” website that is solely focused on COVID- related matters. In that Reading Room is a link to the Fauci Diary. The document is 1,141 pages. Rand Paul on X said that “My investigation uncovered that Anthony Fauci kept a diary. What he wrote privately and what he told the country are two different stories.”
And that is the entire problem here. Fauci was considered an expert, and despite data showing his analysis was flawed, his position allowed others to hide behind his skirt and lockdown their states for political gain in an election year. Even Dr. Birx admitted that is what happened.

The internet is exploding with commentary and clips on Fauci and his missives as we re-look his COVID directives from six years ago and how they impacted people in their lives.
No missive was more outrageous and had a more detrimental impact than the literally made up six foot rule. It’s why schools, businesses, churches, funeral homes, family gatherings were shut down.
And it was all made up. One Big Lie
Here is a great montage on Fauci and the six-foot rule. Take a few minutes to watch it. You cannot detest the man enough – and the people who followed him blindly.

I didn’t read the diary. But others did, and one of those people who did read the entire document is Jeffrey Tucker, CEO and Founder of the Brownstone Institute. Jeffrey Tucker founded the Brownstone Institute specifically as an antidote to the misinformation and tyranny that resulted from COVID.
Here is one item from Fauci’s diary that Jeffrey Tucker pointed out in an X post. It proves that the public was lied to about the effectiveness of the COVID shot.

The complete story of COVID has not been told, from its inception to the misguided response.
Six years later, there are still so many unanswered questions about the pandemic that killed over a million Americans. They weren’t just killed by the virus; they were also killed by the response to the virus. Lockdowns led to suicide, hospitals pursued improper treatments like putting people on ventilators, and an experimental shot led to death for many. Senator Ron Johnson made that argument on Thursday. He brought data proving such. His presentation in the hearing is linked here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0fgOdQmE_U.
The economic fallout from COVID is still being felt. Trillions were added to the national debt, transit ridership is still below pre-pandemic levels, commercial property in cities and elsewhere is suffering as workers got used to staying at home, and businesses that died during COVID haven’t come back.
Stunted growth in education is a continuing problem. Bad habits formed in high schoolers that led to issues in college. Schools created bogus grading systems to compensate, giving half credit for work not done and setting no hard deadlines for completing assignments. Cheating was rampant. Mental health issues in youth accelerated. At least the limitations of online learning were revealed, and the need for personal socialization was recognized.
People lost confidence in the medical field, and there is to this day an inherent mistrust and questioning of the “expert” class.
People should have lost trust in most of their politicians. But the politicians just pointed fingers at each other and at the expert class.
And nobody bought into the COVID lies and lockdowns preached by the experts more than Governor Pritzker.
He believed everything Fauci said without question. And Illinois was locked down harder under Pritzker than in our neighboring state and nearly every other state. He abused his power, and what’s worse is that other “leaders” in every field let him do so. They did not stand up to him. It’s shameful, and a full apology, acknowledgment, and reckoning are still deserved from all of them. More on that later.
To this day, Pritzker’s administration still recommends the COVID shot, including for babies 6 months and older. Read HERE. The guidance below is CURRENTLY on the IDPH website.

Mark Glennon wrote an excellent piece this week recalling Pritzker’s COVID policies. I highly encourage everyone to read it and refresh their memory on what we went through here in Illinois. Glennon begins by noting:
JB Pritzker didn’t just consult Dr. Anthony Fauci during the pandemic, he publicly attributed much of Illinois’ pandemic governance to him through at least the first two turbulent years of Covid. Pritzker regularly and forcefully endorsed Fauci’s pronouncements in his daily Covid briefings and elswhere. In September 2020, for example, Prizker said he “would not hesitate to follow the advice of Dr. Anthony Fauci” whenever case surges required action. Fauci was a “very reliable source of information, Pritzker also said. “I rely on the guidance I hear from him.”
Nobody tracked, analyzed, and reported on the actual publicly available COVID numbers more than Mark Glennon’s team at Wirepoints. And it was obvious – by analyzing the data – that Fauci, Pritzker, and lots of other public officials were wrong about everything when it came to COVID.
Glennon continued:
But Pritzker and Fauci were wrong on fundamental issues from the start. Just two months after the pandemic started, it had become glaringly obvious to us at Wirepoints that facts were being grossly distorted and that Illinois’ policy response was patently irrational. Many mistakes were obvious even as they were made, which we documented with dozens of articles collected here.
It wasn’t about measured differences of opinion about science. It was a governor – and many others — who repeatedly hid behind a federal bureaucrat’s pronouncements to justify sweeping, often indefensible mandates on 12.7 million Illinoisans. Among the other guilty is the Illinois General Assembly, which stood aside as Pritzker ruled by executive fiat through his 39 consecutive emergency orders lasting from March 2020 to May 2023.
They were wrong about masks, social distancing, 15-days to stop the spread, locking down businesses and shutting kids out of school, the COVID shot and so much more. Read Glennon’s piece as he provides the list and the details of the many things Pritzker got wrong.
Here are a few items that are worth reminding people of because your so-called leaders lost their minds and too many people let them get away with it. What’s worse is that most of these idiots are still in office. They don’t deserve the privilege of holding office. They proved that they lack the judgment to do so.
To add to Glennon’s commentary, Don’t forget the following outrageous items:
1 – Pritzker built a $66 million temporary hospital that only housed less than 3 dozen patients.
2 – The IL Lottery had a campaign called ALL IN FOR THE WIN and gave away $10 million in cash and scholarships. People got a chance at the prizes if they took the shot. They wasted your tax money!!
3 – HB2789, an initiative of the teacher unions in Illinois, would have forced all schools to comply with IDPH COVID policies instead of allowing local control. It passed the Senate, but was stopped by a grassroots effort. Breakthrough Ideas helped kill that bill.
4 – Pritzker spent $5 million for the “It only works if you wear it” campaign to encourage mask wearing.
5 – Pandemic unemployment fraud reached $5.2 billion.
6 – IL prisoners successfully filed for COVID relief money.
7 – Pritzker released almost 4.000 inmates, including 64 murderers, during COVID.
8 – Personally, I won’t forget the angry older woman who screamed and cussed at my son and his friends for playing basketball on the school yard in July. The boys were all 19 years old. She called the police, and the police told them to go home. And who remembers basketball nets with boards over them to prevent playing in some areas?
9 – The pure hypocrisy of Pritzker to send his family out of state to free Florida while he locked down his own residents.
Can anyone explain why Pritzker is still in office after what he did just during COVID?
Part of the problem is that not enough people stood up to him, especially people with power.
Do you think freedom doesn’t cost anything?
Of course it does. The price of freedom isn’t just paid in war – although it certainly has been – and we are eternally grateful to those who fought our wars, left their families behind to fight for us, were injured and/or gave their lives to defend our freedom.
The cost of freedom could be financial, either individually or collectively. Robert Morris financed a great deal of the Revolutionary War. Patriots suffered tremendous losses when their property was confiscated or destroyed by the British. Americans during WWII had food and fuel rationed to support the war effort. American industry was directed to make munitions, supplies, ships, aircraft, and vehicles for the war -essentially taken over to defend freedom.
In Illinois, the price of freedom includes suing the government to defend your property or your rights. Listen to my Reveille on that in this newsletter.
But what about the price of freedom during COVID?
Pritzker threatened everybody he could if they didn’t comply with his COVID mandates. People lost jobs, kids were kicked out of school for weeks, people were escorted out of grocery stores for not wearing a mask, months into the “pandemic.” College kids had their degree progression threatened if they didn’t get a shot. Business licenses were threatened. Clergy were threatened.
And the leaders who could have done something – stayed silent. The people who could have banded together and pushed back didn’t. Those with the big titles and the big paychecks didn’t want to pay the price, so they let Pritzker’s tyranny stand for years.
From March 2020-May 2023, Illinoisans were under Pritzker’s COVID orders.
There hasn’t been a reckoning at all. Pritzker, the lockdown mayors and superintendents, hospital CEOs, corporate bigwigs, state legislators and school board members – they all collectively failed, and most of them remain in power.
The Fauci diary, which was obtained because Fauci used a government computer to compile his notes, exposes the lies he told the world. But a person really had to not have been thinking, using any analytical skill or discernment to believe Fauci after only a few weeks.
In a representative Republic, you elect people to make decisions for you – to represent you. If they don’t have the intellectual ability to discern truth from fiction, interpret basic data, or the intellectual curiosity to dig below the surface for answers, or the courage to stand up and speak truth, then they shouldn’t be in office.
There are a lot of people holding office in Illinois who failed during COVID. This November you should vote them out.
