Everyone loves a good old Midwest state fair! But not everyone is aware of the price tag that goes along with it.
The upcoming Illinois State Fair is expected to generate about $100 million in economic impact, but Governor Pritzker and his fellow Democrats have already soaked the taxpayers for nearly $190 million to pay for it.
Pritzker and Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello are claiming that the fairgrounds are an economic engine, but in the real world, losing that much money would be grounds for bankruptcy.
