With the upcoming November midterm election right around the corner, Governor Pritzker continues to dilly-dally about whether or not to allow Illinois taxpayers and students to participate in the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit program. He has until January 1, 2027, to choose whether he wants to side with teachers’ unions and his own political ambition or quality education and fiscal opportunities for all Illinoisans.
Opting in won’t cost Illinois a dime, but if Pritzker doesn’t feel the heat from voters and he puts his hatred for President Trump ahead of the well-being of our families and children, there will be seriously negative consequences for him to face. The decision falls squarely on HIS shoulders.
He is also using our children as political pawns by joining a lawsuit that is suing the Trump Administration for enacting a new policy that would call for Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (taxpayer money) to continue to pay for mental health treatment for transgender patients 19 and younger but phase out coverage of hormone treatments as of April 2027.
Being forced to agree with and pay for medical experiments on children’s bodies before they fully mature flies in the face of responsible guardianship and fiscal fiduciary.
