It’s being discussed by everyone – Kamala didn’t really answer the questions at the debate, she simply regurgitated canned answers she used in her DNC Speech and at the CNN Interview.
For reference, here is a link to the CNN Interview. Here is a link to the debate transcript.
CNN INTERVEW: “When I look at the aspirations, the goals, the ambitions of the American people, I think that people are ready for a new way forward in a way that generations of Americans have been fueled by — by hope and by optimism.”
ABC DEBATE: “I believe in the ambition, the aspirations, the dreams of the American people. … What we have done and what I intend to do is build on what we know are the aspirations and the hopes of the American people. … we’re going to invest in the aspirations and the ambitions and the dreams of the American people? … we all have the same dreams and aspirations. … a vision of that includes having a plan, understanding the aspirations, the dreams, the hopes, the ambition of the American people.”
6abc Philadelphhia: “You know, we have ambitions and aspirations and dreams, but not everyone necessarily has access to the resources that can help them fuel those dreams and ambitions. … it’s about … maybe focusing on again the aspirations and the dreams.”

CNN INTERVIEW: “Well, let’s be clear. My values have not changed. … the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed. … My values did not change.”
ABC DEBATE: “So my values have not changed. … My values have not changed.”
_______________
CNN INTERVIEW: “the measure of the strength of a leader is based on you beat down instead of where I believe most Americans are, which is to believe that the true measure of the strength of a leader is based on who you lift up.”
ABC DEBATE: “what is important is that there is a president who … is about lifting people up and not beating people down and name-calling. The true measure of the leader is the leader who actually understands that strength is not in beating people down, it’s in lifting people up. … And what is important is that there is a president who … is about lifting people up and not beating people down and name-calling. … That’s the kind of conversation I believe … people really want tonight as opposed to a conversation that is constantly about belittling and name-calling.
_______________
CNN INTERVIEW: “in the last decade, we have had in the former president someone who has really been pushing an agenda and an environment that is about diminishing the character and the strength of who we are as Americans — really dividing our nation.
ABC DEBATE: “it’s a tragedy that we have someone who wants to be president who has consistently over the course of his career attempted to use race to divide the American people. … we don’t want this kind of approach that is just constantly trying to divide us. … we all have the same dreams and aspirations and want a president who invests in those, not in hate and division.”
6abc Philadelphia: “I know that the vast majority of us as Americans have so much more in common than what separates us. And I also believe that I am accurate in knowing that most Americans want a leader who brings us together as Americans and not someone who professes to be a leader who is trying to have us point our fingers at each other. … I think people are more willing now um in light of the hate and division that we see coming out of Donald Trump to say hey let’s put country first. … Let’s stop with the division, like enough of that. Let’s bring everybody together.”
_______________
CNN INTERVIEW: “Day one, it’s gonna be about … implementing my plan for what I call an opportunity economy. I’ve already laid out a number of proposals in that regard, which include what we’re gonna do to bring down the cost of everyday goods, what we’re gonna do to invest in America’s small businesses, what we’re gonna do to invest in families.”
ABC DEBATE: “I … have actually a plan to build what I call an opportunity economy. … I intend to create an opportunity economy, investing in small businesses, in new families, in … what we can do that is about giving hard-working folks a break in bringing down the cost of living.”
_______________
CNN INTERVIEW: “I think that people are ready for a new way forward in a way that generations of Americans have been fueled by — by hope and by optimism. … Same old, tired playbook. … I think people are ready to turn the page on that. … I believe the American people deserve … a new way forward, and turn the page on the last decade.”
ABC DEBATE: “It is important that we move forward, that we turn the page on this same old tired rhetoric. … I say we don’t have to go back. Let’s not go back. We’re not going back. It’s time to turn the page. … Let’s turn the page on this. Let’s not go back. Let’s chart a course for the future and not go backwards to the past. … Let’s turn the page and move forward.”
_______________
CNN INTERVIEW: “No, and I made that clear on the debate stage in 2020, that I would not ban fracking. As vice president, I did not ban fracking.”
ABC DEBATE: “I made that very clear in 2020. I will not ban fracking. I have not banned fracking as Vice President of the United States.“
_______________
6abc Philadelphia: “I’ll start with, I grew up a middle-class kid. My mother raised my sister and me. She worked very hard. She was able to finally save up enough money to buy our first house when I was a teenager. … I try to explain to some people who may not have had the same experience.”
ABC DEBATE: “let me tell you, I grew up a middle-class kid raised by a hard-working mother who worked and saved and was able to buy our first home when I was a teenager. The values I bring to the importance of home ownership knowing not everybody got handed $400 million on a silver platter. “
_______________
6abc Philadelphia: “I think people are exhausted with that approach to be honest with you.”
ABC DEBATE: “But frankly, the American people are exhausted with the same old tired playbook.”
