The Woke DEI agenda, by all appearances, is fading away in much of America. It’s about time.
Wokeness peaked in 2020-2021 with the COVID insanity, George Floyd riots, Diversity-Equity-Inclusion policies, and the wide acceptance of the “trans” ideology at its pinnacle in America.
Policies and mindsets adopted widely by corporations, academia, and government categorized people based on identity, not merit, forced speech compliance of such among employees and students, and the silent majority who opposed the Wokeness stayed silent. Better to get the grade and move on or keep the job in an uncertain market. The silent majority, though, is finding its voice.
While radical progressive ideologies still have a firm grip on institutions, especially in Illinois and academia, there has been a considerable awakening among many over the last five years. And this week, we had one more example of that in the Texas settlement between the State of Texas and Texas Children’s Hospital – more on that later.
Those elites insisted that we look at every policy through an equity lens, embrace radical ideas around gender, like that you can change your sex, and go one-way down the grocery aisle to stop a flu virus.
In Illinois, schools adopted the language of equity, not equality. They adopted policies of giving 50% credit for work that was not even turned in. They spent time and money building “Portraits of a Graduates, ” which no student even looks at, with traits of being a “collaborator” and someone who “embraces diversity.” They upended decades of segregated sex spaces and sports to be inclusive and progressive. Lately, they’ve embraced student walkouts over ICE, Palestine, and Trump.
Corporations followed along with all the COVID hysteria, from vax mandates to stay-at-home orders. They adopted ESG standards. Environmental, social, and governance criteria meant that your firm was using renewable energy wherever possible, tracking volunteering in the community, and making hiring decisions based on diversity.
The mainstream media misled people on matters of COVID, the Biden Laptop, the Russian collusion story, George Floyd’s death, the riots, and more. And then the social media companies, shamefully, admitted they censored stories as directed by the federal government.
The military was not untouched by the Woke agenda. Leaders under Biden had a service-wide stand down to preach on white supremacy. Biden used the military for his party’s Leftist agenda. Mandatory COVID shots, DEI policies, and the backdrop of two Marines at a red-lighted political speech where Biden called MAGA Republicans a threat to the Republic.
Some of us never caved to the mob of politicians and academic, corporate, and bureaucratic elites who made up rules that were not based in science or reality. As Congressman Wesley Hunt from Texas and fellow West Point alumnus keeps pointing out, there’s no Jim Crow 2.0 in America – he hasn’t been kicked to the back of the bus or not served in any establishment. There are plenty of others who have been pushing back for years, having seen the ramp-up to max Wokeness and tried to prevent it. They are now being listened to in greater numbers.
The fight is not over by any means to both restore common sense and end the divisive and dangerous WOKE agenda in our institutions.
While the American people have turned into skeptics of nearly every policy uttered by a politician now, and we are questioning the “experts” in every industry, there is still work to be done.
The pushback is real, and here are just 10 ways in which the counter-revolution is moving forward:
1. John Stossel writes in Reason Why Companies are Ditching ESG, noting in the sub-heading that “Many have started to recognize a need to focus on their core business rather than virtue-signaling.”
2. In all but the dumbest states, Illinois being one of them, renewable mandates are going away. Steve Goreham wrote a year ago Reality Check: Towns and States Don’t Want Green Energy about the increasing pushback on green energy, and that pushback has only gotten stronger.
3. The restrictive, nonscientific, and nonsensical COVID policies have made all but the most WOKE Americans complete skeptics when it comes to health advice from the government. While a few misguided people continue to mask up regularly to virtue-signal their compliance with state orthodoxy, there is no way the state will ever be able to impose widespread mask-wearing and population control ever again. And mandatory shots are going away, too. Even the military no longer requires an annual flu shot, and they are reinstating with back pay any servicemember forced out for refusal of the COVID shot.
4. DOJ Indictment – Biggest promoters of hate and DEI, the Southern Poverty Law Center has been revealed for the fraud that they are. They were literally paying people they hate to gin up protests so they could raise money off the hate.
5. DOJ Indictment – Dr. Fauci’s assistant is now indicted for lying about the source of COVID-19 in an apparent attempt to hide the U.S. taxpayer-funding of the lab in Wuhan.
6. There’s now irrefutable evidence that Obama meddled in the first Trump presidency by unleashing the intelligence agencies against Trump. There was no collusion between Trump and Russia during the 2016 election. It was a hoax perpetrated by Obama and the Clinton campaign. The Director of National Intelligence has opened up the records and released reports showing the evidence. More charges are expected in relation to this arguably treasonous action by Obama and his minions.
7. Social Media companies admitted to censorship throughout the Biden administration. This week, Alex Berensen settled with the Justice Department in his lawsuit against the Biden administration.
From the DOJ press release this week, “The Biden Administration engaged in blatant viewpoint discrimination, wielding power over social media to kick conservatives off Twitter completely,” said Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward. “Today’s settlement proves such injustices are over under President Trump’s leadership.”
8. While we have seen our share of student protests in Chicago and the suburbs, perhaps 2025-26 is the peak of such. At the now infamous May Day CPS Day of Action, Paul Vallas noted in an X post that “Despite immense pressure from the CTU President Stacy Davis Gates and their puppet Mayor to mobilize CPS students and their teachers to participate in the May Day protest, under 1% of the students and only 13% of teachers participated in the indoctrination session.”
Meanwhile, in Pennsylvania, “students at Central Bucks East High School actually booed the pathetic anti-ICE walkout, which had fewer than 100 students participate,” according to a Townhall article.
9. Fraud – more than anything, people have had it with fraud and crime. So many scams. The Minneapolis, California, and now Ohio fraud stories, especially those related to new immigrants defrauding taxpayers, are appalling.
Politicians and bureaucrats who fail to account for government money and cannot explain the lack of controls, when everybody knows their own bank can sniff out fraud in a credit card purchase instantly and accurately account for every penny spent in their account, should know we will not tolerate not only the fraud, but the lack of prosecution of the fraudsters.
10. Mamdani v. Pratt – In 2025, the Leftist New Yorkers elected socialist pro-Hamas sympathizer Mamdani, and hopefully, they have some regret because in 2026, all eyes are on Spencer Pratt running a no-holds-barred race for mayor of Los Angeles. No one expected such a takedown of what Leftist policies have brought. View Pratt’s pinned video HERE. He is truly setting a new standard in taking on the dysfunctional and dangerous governance of Democrats.
Most importantly, one of the most harmful agendas of the Left is unraveling and will likely be dismantled permanently. The “transing” of minors got a gut-punch this week in Texas.

He was the catalyst for the settlement described below, and he beat the Biden DOJ’s attempt to prosecute him over blowing the whistle on the harmful and illegal transgender procedures happening at Texas Children’s Hospital. Seismic, Culture-Shifting Legal Settlement in Texas on “Transing” Children

Here is an excerpt from an astounding press release from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton:
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has secured a historic settlement with Texas Children’s Hospital (“Texas Children’s”) that compels the creation of the country’s first-ever Detransition Clinic; requires the hospital to pay $10 million for billing Texas Medicaid for unallowable and illegal ‘gender-transition’ interventions, including by using false diagnosis codes; and compels the termination and revocation of privileges of multiple physicians.
After a years-long investigation by the Healthcare Program Enforcement Division, Attorney General Paxton has negotiated a historic settlement that will help protect Texans. Under the terms of this landmark agreement, Texas Children’s will establish the first-ever multidisciplinary clinic designed to provide medical care to patients who were subjected to “gender-transition” procedures. This Detransition Clinic will help patients reverse the damage caused by ideologically-motivated physicians who harmed patients by performing dangerous medical interventions for the purpose of “transitioning” them. For the first five years, all services provided through the Detransition Clinic will be funded by Texas Children’s and be free of charge to patients.
As part of the settlement, Texas Children’s has also agreed to fire, permanently and irrevocably terminate all existing privileges, and never again hire or credential five woke doctors who performed harmful medical interventions on Texans. As part of the settlement, Texas Children’s agrees not to provide “gender-transition” services; will implement a host of compliance and ethics measures; and the hospital will amend its bylaws to trigger automatic relinquishment of privileges for any physician who violates Texas’s prohibition on medical interventions to “transition” kids. Attorney General Paxton secured this historic settlement in coordination with President Trump’s Department of Justice.
This agreement will most directly benefit children suffering from gender confusion, but it will have other less obvious beneficial effects.
Physicians who have feared opposing the “trans” industrial complex and all its cross-dressing minions will now have institutional support behind their science-based refusal to disrupt normal puberty, dope children with risky cross-sex hormones, or surgically mutilate the healthy bodies of minors.
Parents will once again be able to trust the physicians treating their confused and often mentally ill children. They will not have to worry, at least at Texas Children’s, that they will be told the abhorrent lie that they have a choice between a “transed” child and a dead child.
And citizens on the political right and left all across the country who have long known that the “trans” superstition was destructive nonsense have yet more support for their views.
They no longer need fear the manipulative, bullying tactics of leftists who call everyone who rejects “trans”-cultism “hateful, cruel, ignorant bigots.” The hateful, cruel, ignorant bigots have always been “trans” activists and their sycophants who have destroyed the minds and bodies of countless children, destroyed families, destroyed women’s privacy and sports, and undermined public trust in medical and mental health professionals.
Now those Americans who own small businesses, who work in corporate America, or who work in government agencies and public schools have yet more support for their sane resistance to “trans” lies.
Already in 2025 and 2026, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the National Health Services England, and the national medical boards of Finland, Sweden, and Norway have all shifted their positions on “transing” minors, moving away from hormone manipulation and surgery to conceal biological sex. Reviews of studies on “transing” children, like the recent Finnish study and the Cass Review, have all provided evidence that hormonal “treatments” and surgical procedures on children harm rather than help them.
The blighted sand on which the “trans” cult is built is crumbling, but the scars from this ideologically driven, anti-scientific medical scam will remain for years: scars on bodies; scars on hearts and minds; scars on the reputation of every woke employer, DEI officer, teacher, physician, and counselor; scars on the consciences of everyone who knew the truth and said nothing.
Watch for more changes to come. As Shakespeare wrote, “at the length truth will out.”

According to Wallet Hub:
- State and local tax rates totaled almost 17% for a median Illinois household last year, compared with the national average of just over 11%
- The median amount of state and local taxes was the fourth highest in the country- $12,538, with the national median being around $8,949
- The state’s burden is driven by property, sales and excise taxes that exceed national averages and those in neighboring states
And Illinoisans are also fleeing to Indiana for gas, where gas is much cheaper because their Governor suspended the state gas tax.
