U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy and other federal officials recently announced an emergency removal of 110 commercial driver’s license schools associated with over 5,000 drivers who failed English language proficiency tests. They have also ordered the shutdown of 150 schools that don’t have licensed instructors and adequate space to allow students to get behind the wheel and actually DRIVE.
There is no shortage of bad actors involved in this dangerous enterprise that spans across 23 states.
A lot of the unlawfully issued licenses are coming out of Illinois.
