Billionaire-bashing is not working out well for blue states.
Among other successful companies, Illinois drove Citadel (which was based in our state for 33 years) to Florida. The company’s hedge fund manager and CEO Ken Griffin moved his burgeoning tech sector company to the Sunshine State saying that he had had enough of Illinois’ punishing taxes, regulation and crime.
Citadel is also donating $3 BILLION to Carnegie Mellon University which intends to build a new school in Miami, Florida focused on innovation and technology.

Also chiming in on Democrats’ extraordinarily bad economic policies is the Wall Street Journal. It hopes that the consequences of their uneducated, knee-jerk, politically motived stupidity inspires a long-overdue turn toward competent and limited government in Illinois.
