Like many conservatives around the country, I am disheartened and baffled by the election results. Of the many and diverse thoughts and attendant emotions, to quote Patti Smith, “swirling ‘round my head,” two swirl repeatedly to the top: 1. Far too few Republicans are willing to look at the forest lurking just behind the trees Dems keep slamming in their faces, and 2. The future for our children and grandchildren looks bleaker than it ever has.
Here are some of my swirling, semi-disjointed post-election thoughts:
- The conquest of our public schools, colleges, and universities by leftists has been instrumental in the conquest of American political and cultural life by leftism. Without the sixty-year leftist march through our education system that transformed schools into re-education camps, we would not be in this cultural miasma.
- Neither a sufficient number of American citizens nor a sufficient number of their illegal neighbors have sufficient knowledge of history, economics, morality, or ethics to maintain a flourishing or even viable culture.
- Those who voted for wealth redistribution are either ignorant, greedy, lazy, callous or all. Already the amount of wealth redistribution the United States engages in is unsustainable. There is no way to pay for unfunded liabilities (Social Security and Medicare) and pay for existing means-tested support like Medicaid, SNAP, Supplemental Security Income, housing vouchers, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families without raising taxes—a lot of taxes. Leftists want to do just that. And they want the government to take over health care and grocery stores, which will lead not just to higher taxes but to both medical treatment and food rationing. Despite what ignorant leftists say, there really is no free lunch.
- A society that refuses to protect marriage, the human right of the unborn not to be slaughtered, the right of children to be raised by a mother and father, and the right of girls/women and boys/men to sex-segregated private spaces and activities is an evil society that deserves to fall.
- The worship of “multiculturalism” that was socially constructed, seeded, and watered by leftists in the 1980s included the rejection of assimilation in favor of disunifying segregation and hierarchicalism that arbitrarily placed foreign cultures at the apex. Americans were encouraged to identify other cultures as not only distinctive but also superior. Noting the negative, dangerous, or pernicious distinctives of any cultures other than American was verboten. Consequently, Americans came to hold the error-filled view that America—its history and principles—is uniquely evil.
- Abdulrahman Mohammed El-Sayed is a glib, arrogant, condescending, paternalistic, belligerent deceiver who aggressively bullyrags and invades the physical space of interlocutors who ask questions El-Sayed hates. As such he is the embodiment of the intolerant, oppressive, censorious Democrat Party.
- Here’s what the graceless manipulative Abdul El-Sayed said in his victory speech last night:
Mike [Rogers], enjoy your retirement. I know you got a house in Florida and two yachts. See, you chose hate and Michigan chose hope. May we never have to see the likes of you in this state again. JD, there is this delicious irony in the fact that you’re constitutionally obligated to swear me in January. So, you know what that means? Wolverine one, Buckeye zero. Donald, look, I know you struggled with my name. So, after JD swears me in January, you could just go on and call me Senator.
- El-Sayed lied. Rogers owns one 39-foot recreational boat—not two. Does glib El-Sayed believe owning a recreational boat somehow disqualifies a man from serving in office? If so, does El-Sayed believe David Geffen’s 454-foot yacht, Steven Spielberg’s 358-foot yacht, or Barry Diller’s 305-foot yacht should disqualify them from donating to Democrat candidates seeking office? And if El-Sayed is miffed about Mike Roger’s two residences, he must be furious about the multiple residences of Mark Warner, Nancy Pelosi, Bernie Sanders, and Richard Blumenthal.
- The support of Muslims for Democrats like El-Sayed, Ilhan Omar, and homosexual Chris Pappas (U.S. Senator-elect from New Hampshire who is “married” to a man) is perplexing and reveals that the mainstreaming of Islam matters far more to Muslims than does the mainstreaming of deviant sexuality and faux-marriage, both of which harm children and society.
- We can expect antisemitism and support for the absurd idea that Israel is committing genocide to continue to grow.
- One of the ugliest campaign ads came straight from the aspish lips of South Carolina pediatrician Annie Andrews who won Lindsay Graham’s seat. In a nasty, mocking ad, she said this about Republican women:
We’re Republican women politicians. We also worry our kids are going to get shot at school, we just don’t care enough to do anything about it.
We’re Republican women politicians. We think rape is bad, but also think a rapist should be president.
We’re Republican women politicians. We think “my body, my choice” is about plastic surgery.
We’re Republican women politicians. Sometimes we film our campaign commercials in the kitchen because they make us, even though we have no idea what we’re doing.
We’re Republican women politicians, and we do it because they told us when this actually becomes The Handmaid’s Tale, we’ll be the ones in the blue dresses.
We’re Republican women politicians. Sometimes our kids tell their friends we’re not related.
We’re Republican women politicians. We only wear our cardigans and crosses on TV.
We’re Republican women politicians. If our daughters get pregnant, they’ll definitely have choices, just like we did.
- Like a cancer, the “trans”-cultic superstition will metastasize now that leftist arrogance has been supercharged. As usual, children will suffer most.
- Democrats will now set about their nefarious project of eradicating any and every obstacle to Democrat control of government in perpetuity. They will seek to pack the Supreme Court, eliminate the Electoral College (thereby rendering the votes of those living in less populous states irrelevant) or establish the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, grant statehood to Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico, eliminate the Senate filibuster, and federalize voting standards which would eliminate state laws and make election fraud easier.
- Voters who were too myopic to see the looming forest that will be planted by Dems or too lazy to get off their duffs have now contributed to the cessation of good judicial appointments. In so doing, they have harmed America for years to come.
Now is the time for American patriots of all colors, ages, sexes, and nations of origin to humbly reflect, read, listen, analyze, and then get about the business of forming a more perfect Union, insuring domestic Tranquility, providing for the common defence, promoting the general Welfare and securing the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity. This requires training up our children in the ways they should go. Be wise, be knowledgeable, be courageous, be willing to sacrifice for truth. Democrats and Democratic Socialists are incapable of doing any of this.
