If you weren’t so beholden to the teachers’ unions and blinded by your hatred for President Trump, you might be able to see straight.
Even New York Governor Kathy Hochul has enough sense to opt their state into the Federal Education Freedom Tax Credit program. The program allows for private donations of up to $1,700 per person ($3,400 for married couples) that, according to the Illinois Policy Institute, could unlock up to $1 BILLION for Illinois students. The program is designed to help families afford private school, tutoring, after-school programs and special-needs services. Additionally, it would not require Springfield to create a new spending program. If Pritzker stupidly turns this offer down, Illinois residents could still benefit from their tax donations, but their money would go to other states to aid their students’ educations.
In a state that is being run by tyrants who are completely destroying our public school system, (while gorging themselves personally, financially and politically), this should be the ultimate ‘no-brainer’ that sends them all packing for good if they don’t choose to embrace something that is truly beneficial for every Illinoisan.
