The Obama Center had its star-studded opening this week with four former presidents and their wives showing up along with Oprah, Bruce Springsteen, and other music, movie, and television stars.

The ILGOP had independent journalist Nick Shirley as its keynote speaker at its annual Red Gala fundraiser.
Bringing Shirley in brought more media attention than any previous speaker to the event. The Chicago Sun-Times called Shirley, who is most famous for reporting on government fraud in Minneapolis, LA, and elsewhere, a “MAGA YouTube Star” and “far-right influencer” in an article about the event. They ignored the groundbreaking reporting he did in exposing the fraud to a nationwide audience.

Ives Files Federal Lawsuit Against Governor Pritzker
alleging Illinois used race as a primary factor in drawing legislative maps. The lawsuit follows the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Louisiana v. Callais, which reaffirmed that districts cannot be drawn primarily by race. Ives says the case is about equal treatment under the law and fair constitutional representation.
