It Was All One Big Show Put on by The Democrats

This photo sums up entirely the Democratic National Convention in Chicago from my perspective, and likely the perspective of most of my readers. We’re not alone. The Wall Street Journal wrote this about Kamala Harris’ speech which was emblematic of all the others. “Kamala Harris introduced herself to the American public on Thursday evening, and her presentation was much like this week’s Democratic convention: well delivered, confident and optimistic, and mostly devoid of policy substance. Whether she can keep this up, unexplained and unexposed, for the next 70-plus days will determine whether she becomes America’s 47th President.”

Even comedian Jon Stewart, a man of the Left, roasted the DNC according to Mediaite, calling “the Democratic Party “diverse and often contradictory,” noting that the convention features both union leaders and CEOs, as well as “lifelong” Republicans.

“They had a guy yelling, ‘screw the billionaires,’ followed immediately by…a very happy billionaire!’” Stewart said next to photos of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D).”

The life-long Republican was former Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger, a traitor to the Tea Party that elected him and the Republicans who kept him in office.

For many Americans, what they saw were not contradictory images but polished politicians and entertainers on a slick backdrop of American flags and red, white, and blue. They heard phrases and stories that spoke to their hearts. They listened to speeches written and scripted by speechwriters and delivered with passion and righteous anger.

It was all one big show put on by the best showmen the Democrats could muster. They even got the master of them all – Oprah – to show up, offering trite phrases like “choose common sense over nonsense” to an adoring audience. What politician has not said that, by the way?

And it was all misdirection and fake, fake, fake.

The Democrats wanted to make “Joy” a theme at the DNC, yet, what you heard from the podium from the old hats – Clinton, Clinton, Obama, Obama, Oprah, and especially Biden was the angry lecturing tone of a group of people that are worried their power and control will go away if Trump wins.

It’s just amazing that a group that stole the nomination away from Biden can be so self-righteous about being the protectors of democracy.

Not a serious policy speech was given at the DNC. It was platitudes, personal narratives, lots of Trump-bashing (as expected), and plenty of not just empty promises, but dangerous lies. Greg Gutfeld said it best on his Thursday night show, calling it the “Invention Convention.” Listen to His Opening Clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsPBf2YDEcI

Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer David Hume Kennerly caught the “Joy” hype in pictures in a Politico article called Vibe Shift at the Democratic Convention. Of course, there were no photographs by Kennerly of the Planned Parenthood mobile abortion and vasectomy van – nothing says JOY to Democrats like killing your offspring.

In the article, Kennerly fully admits the “vibe” of the convention was more pronounced than policy. He wrote:

“Unlike some other conventions, in which a clear policy theme was clear, Kennerly said this one was filled more with energy directed at stopping former President Donald Trump — and embracing Kamala Harris. And while people watching at home can see the raucous crowds, a photographer up close can get a better feel.

“One of the things I’ve been trying to do is capture the vibe of it all,” Kennerly said. “A vibe is a human emission. This really feels good.”

Yes, the order went out, and each speaker fell in line:

  • Bash Trump
  • Ignore Biden’s creation of the current economic situation
  • Praise Kamala Harris as the best and brightest the country has to offer

However, people must look past the slick talking points, great choreographing, and celebrities telling people whom to vote for –

There’s too much at risk not to take public policy seriously. Government these days is way too powerful at all levels.

Freedom, money, and life itself are all on the line when it comes to who is in office, especially at the national level. That’s why voters must pay attention to public policy and the politicians to whom we give the power to make a myriad of decisions and take actions on our behalf.

In just the last 3.5 years, we now have wars in Ukraine and Gaza, Iran attacking U.S. assets through surrogates, double-digit inflation in four years, a border controlled by the cartels, and an estimated 10-20 million illegal immigrants that have taken up residency in the USA. Plus, there’s continuing dysfunction at schools that fail to educate, mutilation of children through gender transitioning procedures – tune into my interview with de-transitioner Chloe Cole tonight, who will be on at 8:05pm- and taxpayer benefits to favored constituencies. The last three have accelerated under the Biden-Harris administration, like green energy handouts, student loan bailouts, and giveaways of all other sorts.

I caught snippets of Kamala Harris’s speech and read the whole thing, which I found published at LifeSite News. Reading the speech sans applause lines, TV magic, and cutaways to adoring audience members really makes you realize how unserious and misleading it was.

Here are some of the lines that stood out and deserve a response.

Harris: “You can always trust me to put country above party and self, to hold sacred America’s fundamental principles, from the rule of law to free and fair elections, to the peaceful transfer of power.”

Reality: Rule of law would mean enforcing immigration laws, America’s fundamental principles don’t include bailing out other people’s debt, and a free and fair election would have been an open convention, not a coronation by your party.

Harris: “As Attorney General of California, I took on the big banks and delivered $20 billion for middle-class families who faced foreclosure.”

Reality: A recent Wall Street Journal analysis of the settlement found that, though Harris wanted to use the settlement money to reduce mortgage principals, about half the settlement went to banks that wrote off the mortgages on homes that had already been abandoned. Each Californian with a defaulted mortgage got a check for $1,400, which the state suggested it could use to help pay a month’s worth of rent. Reference Link

Harris“he {Trump} was found guilty of fraud by a jury of everyday Americans and separately found liable for committing sexual abuse.

Reality: The NY prosecution is likely to be overturned. It was a targeted prosecution for which Trump was singled out, and the charge bizarrely linked in a way that had never been done before.

Harris: “Donald Trump tried to cut Social Security and Medicare.“

Reality: Even liberal media, Politifact, says this is not true. This lie is often told by Illinois politicians in state legislative races, even though these are federal programs. It is the go-to lie for Democrats at all levels.

Harris: “The middle class is where I come from.”

Reality: She lived in the wealthiest neighborhoods in Canada during her teenage years.Reference LINK

Harris: “he and his allies would limit access to birth control, ban medication abortion, and enact a nationwide abortion ban with or without Congress.”

Reality: Trump has repeatedly said states will decide abortion law, and NO politician is looking to limit access to birth control – but she believes if it isn’t taxpayer-funded, then that’s limiting access. That’s dishonest.

Harris: “As Commander-in-Chief, I will ensure America always has the strongest, most lethal fighting force in the world.

Reality: The Biden-Harris regime botched the Afghanistan withdrawal, ending with 13 dead Americans and numerous Afghani allies losing their lives, too. They left behind $80 billion in military assets and armed our opposition. The defense budget is now smaller than the interest on the debt and hasn’t kept up with inflation. She would be a disaster as CINC.

Harris: “Five days before Russia attacked Ukraine, I met with President Zelenskyy to warn him about Russia’s plan to invade. I helped mobilize a global response, over 50 countries, to defend against Putin’s aggression.

Reality: Listen to her description of the Ukraine/Russian War. Clip here: Ukraine/ Russian war. She is not prepared to lead anything.

While I believe in America‘s and its citizens’ resiliency, we cannot afford to waste money on bad policy or risk entering a war unprepared to defend our national interests and protect our troops.

The world is a dangerous place. We have enemies who would love to see a weakened America both militarily and economically. Islamist radicals are randomly stabbing people in the UK and Germany, and the border czar Kamala has allowed hundreds of known terrorists into the country.

If Americans vote on policy, this election will be a landslide for Trump. We know the policeies of Harris; we are living through some of them now. But she is likely to let the Trump tax cuts expire, which would raise taxes for all income levels, give blanket amnesty to illegals, which would invite more to come and be unable to constrain our enemies, inviting an attack on Taiwan and more problems in the middle east with an energized Iran.

This election, quite frankly, shouldn’t even be close. We are no longer voting on marginal differences in guns vs. butter debate, as was the case in the 1980s through the early 2000s. Government has vastly expanded its reach into people’s lives and businesses. Voters who do not recognize or understand the limits to which government should be involved in market decisions, education, land use, and so much more, are killing the economic future of Americans and infringing on personal liberty that will be hard to win back. This lack of knowledge about what government’s role is in our constitutional republic is by far the greatest threat to preserving America as a mighty nation respectful of minority opinions.

It should not be the majority opinion in this country that we bail out other people’s student loans.

It should not be the majority of opinion in this country that we allow for open borders, taxpayer-funded support to illegals, and amnesty to lawbreakers.

It should not be the majority opinion that no proof of citizenship is required to register to vote or that non-citizens can vote in elections, even local ones.

It should not be the majority opinion that taxpayers fund EV vehicles and chargers, abortions, and thousands of non-profits.

Our education system has failed. If the majority opinion in this country is that the DNC was a smashing success, well, at least our hope can be that as many Democrats as possible got their free vasectomy.
