You know the guy in the photo on the far left (no pun intended). The gal in the middle, Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton, wants to be Illinois’ next U.S. Senator, and the guy on the right, Michael Frerichs, is Illinois’ Treasurer. All of their performances in government have been stunningly incompetent at best.

THIS TRIO HAS RUN ILLINOIS INTO THE DITCH.

It sounds like a good idea at first, but given the history of fiscal mismanagement and corruption under the Pritzker Administration, all sorts of things could go wrong under Senate Bill 3086, which will allow State Treasurer Michel Frerichs to invest money into the AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust (which currently has assets exceeding $1 billion).

Frerichs is looking to invest an INITIAL $10 million in taxpayer money this year alone in construction projects that have an affordable or workforce housing element.

On August 31, U.S. District Judge Colleen Lawless entered an injunction blocking Illinois state officials from enforcing their new Prescription Drug Affordability Act (PDAA). She found that the state law almost certainly conflicts with the federal Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).

When signing the measure into law, Gov. JB Pritzker said the state could use PDAA to address a “health care system infected by profit-seeking middlemen and predatory actors looking to make an extra dime at the expense of Illinois patients.”

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy and other federal officials recently announced an emergency removal of 110 commercial driver’s license schools associated with over 5,000 drivers who failed English language proficiency tests. They have also ordered the shutdown of 150 schools that don’t have licensed instructors and adequate space to allow students to get behind the wheel and actually DRIVE.
