School Board Member Talk to Kids About Sex
Illinois District 211’s controversial school board member Kim Cavill loves talking to other people’s children about sex. She discusses sex in classrooms with 11–14-year-olds, and until recently, she discussed sex in podcasts for tweens and teens. What she doesn’t love so much is having the community she purports to represent know exactly what she says to tweens and teens about sex, which is probably why she has taken down all her podcasts for kids about topics like porn, anal sex, and polyamory. The Internet, however, makes it difficult to hide everything.

Students Oppose Co-Ed Bathrooms
Last Friday, March 17, 2023, 135 students at Waterloo High School in Waterloo, Illinois did what students all over the country should be doing if or when their administrations decide to permit co-ed restrooms. These students defied the cultural diktats to sexually integrate all spaces in which humans engage in intimate bodily functions or undress—diktats issued by tyrannical, anti-science “trans”-cultists and their collaborators.

The trials of four individuals that were allegedly involved in the ComEd bribery scheme began this week. It is interesting that the prosecutors have put former Democrat House members on the stand. So far, Scott Drury, Lou Lang, and Carol Sente have testified as to Madigan’s power over legislation.

Chicago Religious Liberty and School Boards
The school board is a public body endowed with certain governmental powers. Under the Federal and Illinois Constitutions, governments may neither prohibit the free exercise of religion nor use the power of government to propagate religion, anti-religion, or non-religion. Governments, including public school boards, may, and ought to, take reasonable steps to accommodate the free exercise of religion by people whom they serve and whom they employ.
Every individual, whether or not in public office, should be free to hold religious beliefs and to act upon them in the conduct of their lives, including in the formation of ethical and moral judgments. We expect public officials to act, subject to constitutional and legal principles and constraints, to make policy. We expect them to enact and pursue policies that are ethical and moral. The ethical and moral principles that guide them may very well be religious in inspiration.

1 Good Bill Both Sides Agree On
In a flurry of activity over four days this week, collectively, the House and Senate passed out of committee 1628 bills. No way, you’re thinking they could actually hear and pass that many bills. You would be right. 914 of the bills were “Shell Bills.” Shell bills are used to move legislation after the committee deadline by adding an amendment to that bill. Actual bills heard and passed were 714, by my count. That’s a lot of bills.
